Biography

1964	Born in Yekaterinburg (Sverdlovsk).
1982	Graduated from vocational school No.42 with the speciality of jeweller.
1990	Graduated from the Urals State University with the speciality of art critic.
1998	Moved from Yekaterinburg to St. Petersburg.
2001	Member of the National Section of AICA (International Association of Art Critics).
2003	Member of The Saint Petersburg Creative Union of Artists.
2015	Member of FIDEM Fédération Internationale de la Médaille d’Art (the International Art Medal Federation). Since 1988 – participant in art exhibitions.
2007	Ensemble of sculptures “Garden of Gethsemane” (The Rest on the Flight into Egypt, The Washing of the Feet, The Kiss of Judas, The Taking into Custody, The Trial of Christ before Pilate) mounted in the yard of the Main Building of the Saint Petersburg State University (“Twelve Collegiums”).
2009 – 2016	Work on church doors: the “Old Testament cycle” and the “New Testament cycle” for a family church in Malaya Izhora. The “Old Testament cycle” was represented at the “Gates and Doors” exhibition of the State Russian Museum in 2011.
Since 2010	Work on the major medal series “The Bible in Medals”. The series «XXXIII. The New Testament» consists of 33 medals. The medals “Pieta” was represented at the XXXII FIDEM congress in Glasgow (Scotland) in 2012 and “Washing of the Feet” – at the XXXIII FIDEM congress in Sofia (Bulgaria).
2010 – 2014	The “Old Testament” series (24 medals).
2014 – 2015	Medal series «The proverbs of Solomon» (12 medals).
2015	Medal series “Ecclesiastes” (12 medals). The medal “One Generation Goes and Another Comes; but the Earth is for Ever” was represented at the XXXIV FIDEM congress in Ghent, Belgium. in 2016.
2015 – 2016	For the Vita Nova publishing house, Saint Petersburg, the medal series “Wisdom of Solomon” (8 medals) and “Wisdom of Jesus the Son of Sirach” (16 medals) for the eponymously-titled book from the “Sacred Texts” publishing series.
2017	Medal series “Song of Ascents. Song of Steps” (15 medals).
2018	Monographic album “Andrey Mishin. Eternal Themes in Sculpture and Medallic Art: Interpretation of Sacred History and Ancient Culture’s Imagery in the Work of a Contemporary Master.” Text by R.A.Bakhtiyarov – Saint Petersburg: NP-Print, 2018. – 204 pages.: 118 ill.
2008	State grant of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. Nominee for the award of the Saint Petersburg government in the field of literature, arts, and architecture.
2010	Exhibition certificate, award of the Rosbalt news agency the Petersburg Avant-garde Top 20 project.
2011	Exhibition certificate of the Saint Petersburg main exhibition hall “Manege” for the annual exhibition of new works by St. Petersburg artists “Petersburg 2010”.
2013	Two Silver medals of the Russian Creative Union of Artists “For Contribution to the National Fine Arts”.
